Folio 03: Theophylaktos, elf bard/master spy
elf bard (court bard) 7/master spy 4
You would think with generations of wizards as part of his heritage, Theophylaktos's path was set from the moment he cried his first breath. Much to his mother's dismay, though, he picked up a lute instead of a spellbook, obsessing over it to the point that even when a terrible windstorm tore apart the coastal city they called their home, "Theo" still played merrily along. (His father still disapproves of the horrifyingly salacious limericks Theo played to keep their mind off of the storm, and also to his dismay, the limericks surface in his mind at the most inappropriate times.)
Still, Theo had an appropriately idyllic childhood, joining a prestigious musical academy with his parent's grudging patronage. It was there that he found his true passion: espionage. Making a name for himself as a consummate performer in his homeland, a performance at a royal ball caught the attention of the nation of Emyrtal. The god-kings of that land enjoyed his music well and fine, but it was his skill as a spy that they truly wanted.
In the land of Emyrtal, Theophylaktos found a life that suits him down to the bone, and indeed, those that crossed him have come to associate his name as being "watched by a god."
