Folio 36: Magrue
maenad ghost sorcerer 4
Civilization are built on the bones of what came before, and for Magrue, this is painfully true. Alive when the City was just a fishing weir and natural port, Magrue was an attendant in Calaver's Grove, a particularly ancient stand of oaks that served as a haven for many druids and fey creatures. Negotiations to keep the settlers out of sacred areas failed miserably, and Magrue met a terror-filled end trying to protect her kin.
Arising as a ghost 13 years later, Magrue's fury only deepened when she discovered that her ties to the natural world were severed, and exploded into hatred when the centuries-old grove was paved over with cobblestones and laden with the detritus of urban life.
Magrue isn't particularly keen on talking with the living, and delights in possessing creatures and engaging in wanton acts of destruction. Fortunately for the city, she can only manifest during the new moon and on the anniversary of her death.
